I’m a food and travel writer from London (UK) based in Germany since 2010. I now live in the Rheinhessen wine region and write primarily about Germany, with a focus on sustainable travel and regional, seasonal food and drink. However, my work has also taken me to Switzerland, Austria, The Netherlands and New Mexico.

I’m a regular contributor to National Geographic Traveller and National Geographic Traveller Food magazines, and have also written for publications including Food & Travel, The Guardian, The Spruce Eats, Pit and EATEN as well as various guide books and in-flight magazines. There are links to some of my clips on the Selected Writing page.

I won the IACP’s Culinary Travel Writing Award in 2019 for my National Geographic Traveller Food feature on Germany’s love of white asparagus, and was a finalist for The YBFs’ Fresh Voices in Food Writing award in 2016. I also work as a freelance content- and copywriter for hospitality and tourism brands here in Germany, and am the International Coordinator for the UK’s Guild of Food Writers.
