I’m a food and travel writer from London, England, based in Germany since 2010. I now live in an old farmhouse in the heart of the Rheinhessen wine region and write primarily about my adopted home country, with a focus on sustainable travel and regional, seasonal cuisine. However, my work has also taken me to Switzerland, Austria, The Netherlands and New Mexico.

My words have been published in National Geographic Traveller (UK, US and India editions), National Geographic Traveller Food, Food & Travel, Pit, The Guardian, The Spruce Eats, EATEN and Time Out, as well as various in-flight magazines and US and UK guide books. I won the IACP award for Culinary Travel Writing in 2019 for my National Geographic Traveller Food feature on Germany’s love of white asparagus, and was a finalist for the YBF’s Fresh Voices in Food Writing award in 2016. I’m also the International Coordinator for the UK’s Guild of Food Writers.
